JAG

Jobs for America’s Graduates, better known as JAG, teaches students life and career skills such as budgeting, self-care, work ethics, completing job applications and creating resumes. Students also participate in a variety of team building activities.

The JAG program is offered to students in grades 11 and 12. These students can earn high school credit and micro-credentials through Career Plus. Graduates have pursued college, enlisted in several branches of the military, worked in the medical field, and started their own businesses using skills they have learned in the JAG program.

JAG Specialist Emmalie Hodge has been with the program at Twin Lakes High School for two years. “My background is in case management and social work which helps me use a trauma-informed approach when working with my students,” shared Hodge. “I understand the skills needed to work in a professional setting as well as the barriers students may face in learning and implementing those skills.”
